GOVERNOR MURPHY ANNOUNCES NEW WEBSITE FOR REPORTING OR DONATING PPE INVENTORY
TRENTON -- Governor Phil Murphy announced a new state website for reporting personal protective equipment (PPE). In accordance with Executive Order No. 109, any business, non-hospital health care facility, or institution of higher learning in possession of PPE, ventilators, respirators, or anesthesia machines must submit that information to the State by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27. The website created today also gives these entities the ability to donate PPE.
"We have a critical need in New Jersey for personal protective equipment," said Governor Murphy. "Our hospitals, health care workers, and first responders on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19 can only be successful with access to these essential supplies."
To submit information related to PPE, please visit https://covid19.nj.gov/ppereport.
A MESSAGE FROM ATSNJ PRESIDENT, KEVIN BRILES
The Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey will continue to closely monitor information about the COVID-19 virus outbreak from state and federal authorities, in addition to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Per Governor Murphy’s most recent declaration, society members are asked to encourage non-essential citizens to stay in their homes. Those athletic trainers who are currently practicing are encouraged to utilize universal precautions while working, observe recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and practice appropriate personal hygiene. As this is an extremely dynamic situation, please monitor the society’s web page as well as social media outlets for updated information.
