President-Elect

Job Description

The president-elect will assume a two year position by being elected in accordance with the constitution. The position shall encompass six years, two each as president-elect, president and past-president.

Duties

Policy as a member of the Executive Council

  • Serves in accordance with the applicable sections of the By-Laws, Policies and Procedure Manual, the Articles of Incorporation, and other official governance instruments of the Society.
  • Carry out the ATSNJ Mission; practice and conduct yourself as a professional at all times (personal and professional life).
  • Act and serve in an ethical manner.
  • Attend all Executive Council meetings/conference calls.
  • Actively participate in Executive Council meetings and serve as a voting member of the EC.
  • Carry out any special assignments from Executive Council: e.g. pickup, drop off ATSNJ display, attend events on behalf of the Executive Council and/or carry out any other duties bestowed to this position.
  • Promote athletic training professionalism, both internally and externally.
  • Attend Annual Business Meeting at EATA
  • Make plans to attend BOC Regulatory Conference in July of odd years.
  • Attend District II Board meetings as observer during second year as President elect.

Policy as Executive Council Liaison to Committees and/or Liaisons

  • Serves as the co-chair of the Conference Committee.
  • Executive Council liaison to: Conference Committee and Professional Education Committee
  • Assist the assigned committees/liaisons in carrying out activities/projects.

Treasurer

Job Description:

The Treasurer shall assume this two-year position by being elected in accordance with the constitution and may serve one additional term. The Treasurer shall supervise all financial activities of ATSNJ and submit reports to the Executive Council regarding the same at each regular meeting, and shall perform such other duties as usually pertain to that Office or as shall from time to time be delegated by the President or prescribed by the Executive Council.

Duties

  • Serves in accordance with the applicable sections of the By-Laws, Policies and Procedure Manual, the Articles of Incorporation, and other official governance instruments of the Society.
  • Carry out the ATSNJ Mission, practice and conduct yourself as a professional at all times (personal and professional life).
  • Act and serve in an ethical manner.
  • Attend all Executive Council meetings/conference calls.
  • Actively participate in Executive Council meetings and serve as voting member.
  • Carry out any special assignments from EC: e.g. pickup, drop off ATSNJ display, attend events on behalf of the Board and/or carry out any other duties bestowed to this position.
  • Promote athletic training professionalism, both internally and externally.

Policy as Executive Council Liaison to Committees and/or Liaisons

  • Executive Council liaison to: Corporate Sponsorship Committee and Sponsorship Committee
  • Assist the assigned committees/liaisons in carrying out activities/projects.
  • Send Committee Chairs/Liaisons their EC charges; then follow up to ensure receipt of completed reports in advance of the EC meeting so the reports may be respectfully and accurately presented to the EC during the quarterly meetings. .
  • Have bi-monthly (or as needed) conference calls/Skype calls, or email correspondence with committee/liaison members to touch base and be informed of ongoing events.
  • Ensure Committee/liaisons submit any expenses incurred to Treasurer within two weeks after the event/correspondence. Remind member that all receipts are required with submission.
  • Budget – ask committee/liaison to review their current budget and make any requests to change the budget line; new budget must be submitted in March to treasurer for review at Budget Review meeting.
  • Work with secretary to ensure financial status of each committee/liaison account prior to charge report going out. Budgeted amount – Amount spent.

Central Regional Representative

The central region consists of the following counties:  Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Ocean.

Job Description:

As a Regional representative, the person holding this position shall commence this two-year term by being elected in accordance with the ATSNJ bylaws and may serve one additional term if re-elected. The specific duties of this position shall be to act as a conduit for the Board to their geographical region, County Delegates, committees and liaison(s) that are designated to this position.

  • Carry out the ATSNJ Mission, practice and conduct yourself as a professional at all times (personal and professional life).
  • Act and serve in an ethical manner.
  • Attend all EC meetings/conference calls.
  • Actively participate in Executive Council meetings and serve as a voting member.
  • Carry out any special assignments from EC: e.g. pickup, drop off ATSNJ display, attend events on behalf of the Executive Council and/or carry out any other duties bestowed to this regional position.
  • Promote athletic training professionalism, both internally and externally.
  • Recruit a local athletic trainer to serve as a delegate for each county within the region.

Policy regarding responsibilities to Regional Membership:

  • Liaison between the Central Region and the EC. Disseminate EC information to the region.
  • Relay members’ concerns forward to the EC.
  • Conduct at least THREE regional meeting per year; 1 must be official ATSNJ meeting using provider number & Aventri. (CEU event, hear regional members’ concerns, recommendations, etc.)
  • Update regional members as to any current issues that may arise. Send emails, mailings or make phone calls to accomplish this task.
