Athletic Training Month Public Relations Contest

The ATSNJ Public Relations Committee has issued a call for entries for its contest that recognizes outstanding PR achievements by ATSNJ members, athletic training education programs, and secondary school student aide programs. The activity must have been developed and implemented by one or more athletic trainers who are members of the ATSNJ or by a person/group working under the direction of an ATSNJ member.

Entries are limited to PR programs for the 2010 National Athletic Training Month only.   Contestants will fall into three categories and only ONE winner will be chosen from each.  Categories include:

  1. Best effort by a secondary school student aide program.
  2. Best effort by a collegiate athletic training education program.
  3. Best effort by a certified member/group of the ATSNJ (GROUPS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE ATC WHO IS AN ATSNJ MEMBER).

All entries are to meet the following criteria to be considered:

  1. Entries must fall under the theme of National Athletic Training Month:  “Sports Safety is a Team Approach”.
  2. Entries must use proper “athletic trainer” terminology.
  3. Entries must not be self-serving but rather serve the promotion of the Athletic Training profession.
  4. Entries shall be educational or philanthropic in nature.

The ATSNJ Public Relations Committee will judge entries with emphasis placed on originality and creativity.  The winners from the secondary school and collegiate categories will receive $100 towards the purchase of educational materials (anatomic joint models, books, software, entry to BODIES exhibit, etc).  The winner from the “certified” category will receive a $100 restaurant gift certificate.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY
