Hall of Fame - David Csillan MS, ATC

David Csillan earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Trenton State University in 1983. Upon earning his Bachelor of Science, David attended Old Dominion University serving the student-athletes of the university while earning his Master of Science, specializing in Athletic Training.
David currently serves as the athletic trainer at Ewing High School, where he has held that position since 1991. Utilizing the experience he has gained at Ewing High School as well as the experience from various other medical positions, David has become a sought after national speaker. Thus, he has presented multiple topics at the state, eastern and national levels.
David is a dedicated family man who treats the athletic training profession as a second family. He has served on numerous state and national committees. David has given countless hours to help improve the care of secondary school student-athletes by serving on the following secondary school committees: NATA District 2 Secondary School Representative, the NATA Liaison with the National Federation of State High School Association, the NJSIAA Medical Advisory Committee, the ATSNJ Secondary School Committee Chairperson, and the NJSIAA Pre-Season Guideline Committee. David served as the president of the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey from 1999-2001.
In 2004, David was inducted into the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association / New Jersey State Coaches Association Hall of Fame. David's list of other awards include: The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Service Award (2005), recipient of the Micro-Bio Medics Scholastic Athletic Trainer Award (2004), Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award (2003). National Athletic Trainers’ Association District 2 Service Award (2001) and recognition for his outstanding contributions, Annual Athletic Trainers’ of New Jersey Sports Medicine Conference Committee (1997).
